Sound Prediction Modelling

existing or potential issues
JTA utilises state-of-the-art sound prediction modelling software. The software provides a platform to simulate, predict and create complex noise models in both internal and external scenarios. These sophisticated tools provide accurate predictions and simulations to assist with mitigation measures.
The internal noise model can be used for a number of projects or scenarios and provides the tools to accurately model the internal acoustics of a space. It’s used to create room coordinates of large spaces to predict the reverberation time and speech intelligibility. If the results show that the correct criteria has not been achieved, then we will recommend the required treatment to achieve compliance.
The software can be used for, but is not limited to, the modelling of large and complex internal spaces such as:
For environmental scenarios, noise modelling can be a powerful tool in assessing noise from industry facilities with a large number of noise sources. It can accurately determine what noise sources are the main contributors to noise pollution in the surrounding environment and how the noise environment will change when problem noise sources are controlled.
From the results of noise modelling, a Noise Control Program is developed to help identify what noise sources need to be controlled and by how much to bring the facility into legally compliant noise levels. A Noise Control Program is an ever evolving tool, with existing noise sources treated, new noise sources added, and other noise controls implemented. Proposed additions to facilities can be modelled to determine their impact on noise sensitive receivers early in a project lifecycle, thus allowing appropriate noise controls to be designed and incorporated into the project before construction begins, eliminating the need for extensive rectification works later in the project life cycle.
The software can be used for, but is not limited to, noise impact predictions of existing and proposed projects such as:
JTA’s team of acoustic consultants service all Australian cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Hobart, also now servicing New Zealand.
We are really proud of our history and experience in providing
health, safety and noise solutions, and feel that our statistics speak for themselves
Occupational Noise Assessments

Noise Control Assessments
JTA produced an Occupational Hygiene strategic level plan for the Army charting the way forward for the next five years which was very well received.
Department of Defence
This project has allowed information and verification of potential health hazards to be gathered. This further enhances our knowledge and supports our continuous improvement philosophy.
Mobil Altona Refinery
JTA has been fantastic at learning our business, challenging our practices and working with us to come up with improved solutions. We are looking forward to many more successful projects.
Thank you for conducting the WorkHealth Checks. It was a very worthwhile process and staff appreciated the fact that we translated into real action, a free health and well-being service and initiative that showed care for their welfare.
Glenhuntly Primary School
The Noise Awareness Training was an eye opener. The presenter showed us great tricks on how to wear our PPE properly, explaining that hearing loss is serious and irreversible, causing other health issues. We really enjoyed it, and already see a positive workplace behaviour change.
