Screening Audiometry Training

This is a comprehensive three day training course designed to meet AS/NZS 1269.4-2005 AS/NZS 1269.4-2005 (AS/NZS 1269.4-2014 in W.A.) Occupational Noise Management Part 4 Auditory Assessment. Course participants will be instructed in the basics of Noise Management and Audiometric Testing and, at completion, will be able to accurately complete Audiometric Screening Tests in the workplace. The Screening Audiometry Training will be in the form of lectures, participation and practical sessions.

 

To complete the course participants must:

Have full attendance over the three days
Perform audiometric tests as instructed
Complete a short assignment at the end of the course

Anatomy + physiology of the ear
Hearing protection
The effects of noise
Test results
Sound + sound measurement
Reporting + referral requirements
Audiometric testing theory + practice
Education + training
Relevant OHS/WHS regulations (state based)
Noise management/hearing conservation program
AS/NZS 1269 and legislation
